Clever Threads Co started when our team decided
we never wanted to wear business suits again.
Hi! We’re Maggie, Natalie and Alli.
We work together for marketing agency Phlox Partners and we wanted more t-shirts with more personality to wear while on conference calls, driving kids to activities and just enjoying life.
So we decided to make shirts we’d want to wear, and we wanted to give you the chance to wear them too.
Clever Threads Co. combines fun, witty, interesting messages with comfortable, high-quality t-shirts, so you can put on a great shirt in the morning and feel good wearing it all day.
Meet Maggie
Maggie is our lead t-shirt designer and brilliant strategist. Her favorite ideas come from her deep interest in mental health, faith-based social justice and nature.
When she’s not working, you’ll find her cheering on the University of Michigan, spending time with family and a herd of Texas longhorns in the Texas Hill Country, and exploring the Oregon Coast.

Meet Natalie
Natalie’s favorite t-shirt ideas come from her love of Jane Austen, Taylor Swift and social justice, so if you’re a progressive geriatric millennial Swiftie, you’ll probably get along just fine. Natalie spends her time writing for Phlox Partners and Clever Threads Co., cheering on her children’s extracurriculars, and saying yes to too many volunteer projects.

Alli finds inspiration for our clever tees from the hundreds of audiobooks she listens at high speed on her daily walks. She keeps our Clever Threads Co. operations running smoothly, including our email marketing and social media management. When she’s not working, you can probably find her watching her kids’ sports or playing pickleball.
